bearer of bad news

I had to hand someone a letter today, and it wasn't a good letter... The person who received it looked so happy and I felt so bad. But it's not my fault. Still, my heart was beating really hard and I was all shaky. It took me a while to calm down. I guess I was more nervous about this than I first thought.
