ER

E is my little climber, and has been since before she could walk. She is also very careful and rarely falls. But today she didn't take a nap and so she wasn't as alert as usual. I had made a salad and she loves to pick out the cucumber and eat it. I had put the salad on the countertop. She pulled her chair up and started climbing. Since everything seemed fine and she is so careful I walked out of the kitchen for a few seconds. As Chris was walking in to the kitchen we hear a big bang and then a scream. She fell and landed on her shoulder. Ouch! Normally hugs, paci and teddy will calm her down, but not this time. When I tried to lift her up by grabbing her under her arms her left arm went limb. So we went to the ER. We got in right away and they examined her. She's ok, a little sore. She keeps saying owi when she uses her left arm or hand. When she landed she hit a nerv and that made her arm all tingly, which is why it was limb for awhile.
So everything went quick up until then, and then it took them over an hour to print out her papers. It was past 8pm when we got out and she still hadn't had anything to eat. While we were waiting in the ER we watched the foodnetwork where they were baking so she wanted a "cooka" (cookie) so we got her one at Starbucks. Great dinner!
We are home, she is asleep and soon we will be too.
